DNA Analysis (Advanced) – Find DNA Matches

To find a DNA match for an evidence sample you’ve collected at the crime scene, select the Find DNA Match option at the top of the lab. The Mystery at Old Fields™ function will then automatically scan the repeat patterns at the STR locations of the evidence sample and match it against the repeat patterns at the STR locations of the suspects and victims.

Some of the STR locations will match in number, but only one of the control samples will match the number of repeats at all 20 STR locations. That person is a unique DNA match of the evidence found at the crime scene.
