Using Murder at Old Fields in Groups
Having students working in groups in Murder at Old Fields can be done by students’ sharing the same account login credentials, but please keep in mind the following caveats:
- If two students are logged into the same account at the same time, there should be no conflict as long as the students are concurrently doing different activities. If two students are trying to conduct the same lab at the same time, however, there will be problems with the software.
- If two students are logged into the same account at the same time, the changes that one or another of the students are making will not be updated in real time. In other words, if student 1 is doing the Fingerprint Analysis quiz while student 2 is logged in, student 2 will not see the results of student 1’s effort unless he/she refreshes the page.
- Any student sharing the same login credentials does have the ability to change the username or password of that account. If the new credentials are not shared with other members of the same group, those other members would be effectively locked out of the account.
