Comparison Between Murder at Old Fields® and Diablo Highway®

Both Murder at Old Fields® and Diablo Highway® are based on actual crimes from the past.

Murder at Old Fields ®has both a web-based digital activity and a real-world kit with labs that can be done in the school classroom or lab. Diablo Highway® has both a web-based digital activity and a real-world kit with labs that can be done in the school classroom or lab.

Murder at Old Fields® has 8 lessons and 5 lab activities. Diablo Highway® has 11 lessons and 9 lab activities.

Murder at Old Fields® has 1 crime scene. Diablo Highway® has 2 crime scenes.

Murder at Old Fields® has lab control samples and evidence in 2D. Diablo Highway® has lab control samples and evidence in 3D.

Both Murder at Old Fields® and Diablo Highway® include what are considered the “basics” in Forensic Science investigation – Fingerprint Analysis, Blood Typing, DNA Analysis, Hair Analysis. In addition to having more labs overall, Diablo Highway® also has two advanced labs – Crime Scene Mapping and Firearms Identification.

Diablo Highway® offers enhanced 360 degree movement through the crime scene.
